No Halloween Issue

Did a little sleuthing and it seems Martha Stewart Living magazine will not be releasing a purely-Halloween issue.

Lame.

I only have cuss words for that.

I was really depressed about that, too. Apparently she only does a Halloween issue every other year.

Martha Stewart is a bit of a sore point for us. We were contacted last year about them wanting to use one of our jack-o-lantern photos in the October 2007 issue of Living for the "On the Web" page that we had previously submitted to their jack-o-lantern photo contest. My wife took the picture and I wanted her to receive the proper credit and provided them with her name and our website information. When the issue was published they used the photo but gave credit using the stupid meaningless username we had to create to submit the photo for their contest. So my wife never got the proper credit nor did our Halloween yard haunt web site even get a plug. I e-mailed the editor that initially contacted us about using the photo back about the improper crediting and never got a response. We felt ripped off and we didn't even win anything for the jack-o-lantern photo contest either. They liked the photo enough to use it in their magazine but not enough to award us a prize. If they printed a correction on the living website or gave us a plug in this year's magazine I would have considered it an acceptable correction, but to just ignore it! What a bunch of creeps.
