Yesterday was the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. It's officially Halloween season now, heh heh.

Yay! Lately, I have been finding myself looking for autumn and fall merchandise wherever I shop. The craving for the Halloween season just sort of happens automatically at this time of year.

yeah, that "mountain lodge" scent sounds great, especially since it's 100 plus degrees out there with the heat index...geez, I really hate summer...'course I could always crank up the a/c, light a fire and burn this candle to cheer myself up!

I ran out this last weekend and got the Mountain Lodge. It's a perfect fall fragrance without the obvious pumpkin or apple cider scents (not that there's anything wrong with those).

so once upon a time bath and body works had a candle company that co-oped stores with them called the white barn candle company. Around fall time they sold this amazing smelling caramel candle and its name was Creamy Caramel. If the white barn smells even 1/5th as good I'll be the happiest Halloween enthusiast on earth.

I hope they re-release this long-forgotten fave...

Thankfully, we have two in the house. One of them is almost gone.

Jerry, describe Mountain Lodge, please. That's the one I was thinking about.

I also enjoy the 'Be Thankful' scent-pretty much a combination of everything fall has to offer. Tart burners are among my favorite dispensers.

I've been informed that here in Atlanta, Yankee Candle stores will have a Bony Bunch figurine and Halloween candle fragrance "preview" party on August 7th!

I liked the "Beware!" scent last year too. It smelled earthy like dirt. They've re-released Patchouli this year too which doesn't smell like a 60's hippy van but more like licorice and dirt. Right up this Undertaker's alley! Yum! I actually made my own scent which I think smells like dirt and cedar...I'm calling it "Unearthed Coffin".
