Haunted Mine

Eric Pigors shot me this amazing link to a video of Knott's Farm's Haunted Mine ride as it looked in the 70s and 80s.

Click below:

It's packed with Old School Halloween atmosphere and fun.

Thanks, Eric!

That looks like a really fun ride! I have memories of our local amusement park (Astroworld, now long gone) and their "Fright Nights" in October. Many of the rides would get a Halloween makeover, much like this. Their was a charm about those old haunts that was undeniable.

Thanks to both you and Unkle Pigors for sharing!

I wasn't alive and hanging at Knott's Halloween Haunt in the
70's, but I will say that the Mine ride continues to pull in a huge crowd during their haunt season. The Mine Ride is now the Black Widow cavern or something like that and it was neat to see the black widow references in the film. Neat film.

I think the new mine ride stands on its own in the 21st century. Always creepy. Especially some of the scares they provide, so fun! My fave "maze" by far.

It will be the first one I get in line for if and when I make it to Knott's this month.

Thanks for the link!!
