This guy is SO INCREDIBLY talented. I bought to sets of his arms and used one set on a scarecrow I made for my room. (I think I set you a pic of it a while ago.)

Love that he volunteers his time at Alice Cooper’s organization.......

I have always been a big fan of Villifane's carving talent, but I really dig his scarecrows! Wow! I'm squirreling away some of his pictures for reference.

It's funny that he mentioned having a mummified pumpkin. I have four of them, the first time it happened I was blown away with a pumpkin that had dried, just like a gourd. Since the first pumpkin went through it's "gourdification" I have had three others do the same in following years. I have one in process of "gourding" right now, it is one of the 'warty' pumpkin varieties. (the warty ones seem to have a knack for the gourdification process) They are so lovely I would hate to carve one, but I just may have to.

Yes! I have a pair of arms and hands from Villafane. The sand sculptures ARE incredible. The elephant playing chess w/mousy.....wow. I think he collaborates on the sand sculptures with the artist from All Natural Arts. Forgive me I can't recall her name. She creates stunning mini sculpts from clock parts.

Totally see the Oogie Boogie vibe in the scarecrow.

I had a warty pumpkin that also lasted a very long time..dried. Mine was off a vine that had Mosaic Virus, which I think may be present in some form in the warty pumpkins they sell in the stores. Strange that a disease would lend itself to longevity in a fruit like that.
