Every time I see the monsters I think about how amazing it must be to build things at that scale, and have the entire community embrace them as part of their local holiday tradition...helping everyone feel a little spooky for an entire month, and helping make it possible to see small wonders each day must be incredible.
Then I remember all of the interaction something like that probably requires and results in, and I go back to just enjoying the pictures. :)
