April 20: The six of us met tonight. From midnight until one o'clock, we planned the death of Blake and his comrades. I tell myself that Blake's gold will allow the church to be built, and our small settlement to become a township, but it does not soothe the horror that I feel being an accomplice to murder.

This movie has more creepiness in it than I care to think about. It's a favorite and doubt that I'll watch the remake.
I know it can be a sore spot and not always met with approbation from the purists (and I do get why), but I always enjoy a well-done pirates display as a theme.
While it's not necessarily a personal favorite to do (last one was by request [read: insistence] back in 2012), in my experience it does make for a great party backdrop and folks really seem to enjoy it.
I wish I'd have had the sense back then to do some kind of tie-in with 'The Fog'...I think I'd have been much happier about the process.
I have occasionally planned a FOG haunt in my head! Blake and his men silhouetted at the end of the porch.
