The art of Michael Fichtenmayer.
Neat site with some great pointers on adding detail to creations.
The artist works with miniatures, but a lot of his techniques could be applied to larger materials.
He uses stretched cotton to create seaweed. That'd be a neat detail on a prop. I imagine it'd look really cool hanging from life-sized figures of Blake and his men from THE FOG (one of those pie-in-the-sky prop-builds I'm always thinking of).
