I almost forgot it was Alien Day.
Currently watching the below and pondering the fact that a long slow segment like this one would never make it into a movie these days. So glad I grew up when I did. Movie magic. True story telling.

I think it's legitimately a perfect movie...really just nothing I would change, or wish had been done differently.
And yes, it's hard to imagine someone doing it like that now, and yet it holds up so incredibly well all these years later.
It's crazy that with such excellent recipes out there to follow and learn from, we still end up with so much fast food and so few gourmet meals. :(
