I have never known birds of different species to flock together. The very concept is unimaginable. Why, if that happened, we wouldn't stand a chance! How could we possibly hope to fight them?

Hitchcock obviously was not a birder. But I am and I will tell you that birds of different species form into mixed flocks every year when they are not breeding. They don't attack Tippi Hendren however.

Perfect sillouette of Hitchcock! I have witnessed different species flock together and work cooperatively to harass snakes that are trying to raid a nest.
