First porch in the neighborhood with orange lights and cornstalks (not that it's a contest).
Sadly, shrinkflation has hit my local source for my stalks - same price as last year, but fewer stalks in the bunch. As if I wouldn't notice...

My neighborhood has a really sticky HOA. Last year they busted me for putting a couple of crows in a tree on October 1st. They emailed me a picture of the crows along with a reminder that holiday decorations CANNOT be set up until two weeks before the actual day. It turns out that I also have two weeks after the holiday to remove my yard haunt. I usually have everything taken down within three days.
This year, weather permitting, I'm in no hurry. Hee hee hee....
I never get tired of seeing things like this.
Haha
Thanks!
I love seeing the harbingers and indicators...the things that signify that we're on the edge of October.
The anticipation and buildup to the season is really just so much of the enjoyment.
That orange glow amid the cornstalks has to make some folks in the neighborhood giddy...a clear indication that the season is truly here.
I hope so! The wind was rustling the stalks tonight. It was pretty great.
Awesome. Now seeing these great pics has gotten me into the proper spirit and mood. Thanks again Rot!
Our stalks got hit by the reaper, too. Fortunately I'm only stalking a corner of my garden this year. I'm looking forward to spending time this weekend getting a few small things set up. Including the "Please Trick or Treat here on Hallowe'en" sign. Because, sigh, yeah, we have to advertise.
