Begging For Candy

I remember one time taking my daughter out trick or treating, and I was dressed up as the grim reaper.( I also had a real farmer's scythe.)
As she would go to the door, I would stand in the street facing the house. And after she got her "candy", she would point out to the street and tell them the grim reaper was out there.
The lady at the door looked up, and had this horrid look on her face, and closed the door slowly not taking her eyes off me. We all laughed, and went on.
As we were going through the treat bag at home, we found a candy bar wrapped in a piece of paper that had religious literature on it. That's when our little girl told us it came from that house.

I bet she didn't answer her door for the rest of the night. Classic.

My daughter once got a tiny tootsie roll with a psalm on it. If they had attached it to a full size snickers bar, we might have taken it seriously.

If you're passing out literature with candy- aren't you celebrating the holiday?
