The original Blob(s) movies(s) scared me to death in you youth. The idea of something that (a) chases you, (b) can't be stopped, (c) suffocates you, (d) burns you, and (f) eats you - it's too horrible to think about. When the remake came out, my friend Paul and I said, "We have to see this." and luckily they made it (g) faster and (h)stronger.
Aw man, when I saw this for the first time as a kid- it blew me away! Right around the time I was becoming obsessed with special fx. And even though I had a basic understanding of how they made it, it still creeped me out as a story!

I am ashamed to say I never seen this movie.
And I would also like to point out that it would also suck when a guy is trying to cop a feel, then ends up getting devolved by a slimy goo.

hah
that's great.
and so true.
same here in regards to the fearing of the blob.
The Blob in all its iterations was frightening. I'm actually excited to see what they're planning on doing in this most recent remake being discussed.

Thank god Rob Zombie never got around to remaking this one like he said he would. Bad enough he tainted the legacy of Michael Myers.
I adore the remake. Of course if they remade it now they'd have to use CGI but it could still be awezum.
^for reals.
