Man, that is so cool. I love fossils. Started digging for them in college as a phosphate mine. Ice age mammals only. Everyone including kids should learn about fossils hands on. You'll get a deeper appreciation for life and history. Got my girls into it by taking them to the yearly fossil/gem show in town. Its amazing when you can talk to someone who actually dug this skeleton out of a cliff. Wherever you live, there a show who have people who run a club that can sign you up for a trip that a whole family can enjoy. FYI....
