Really great sitting prop, looks like it could move at any moment. Love the wooden cross graveyard lighting. The red candles at the bases of the crosses with the blue/purple lighting really pops.
Thank you SOOO much. We worked really hard to make sure we had the organic elements just right. Knew She needed a world that looked overgrown and lived-in.
Thanks a ton! Thankfully those candles never blew out thanks to a pretty windless night. November 1st was another story...so we're feeling really grateful, despite the heat, that Halloween happened when it did.
SUPERB work as always! I love the shot of the Witch on her throne, surrounded by jack-o-lanterns. Great pumpkin faces this year too!! Plus the crosses in the graveyard, the perfectly thick fog, and even the hanging gourds--just so many incredible details! Such a magical, immersive Haunt this year. Great job, you two!
Hands down, I think this is the best haunt I've seen you produce. There isn't a single thing that I would change. Unbelievably beautiful. I have to ask, how are the heads attached to the Sentinels?
Thanks, Mr. M!! We REALLY appreciate that!!! Those are foam pumpkins with real stems glued on… so they’re pretty light…I attached them to a pvc pipe neck using duct tape and then covered the entire thing in mache.
What a gift, Rot! The primordial witch is probably the darkest one you have created. I LOVE the hanging gourds.... another ancient implement that affirms the age of the 'first'. Too many fantastic details to mention but I do love how you added colors in the lighting towards the end of your photo display.....green witch in her hellish orange chamber of pumpkins with purple to suggest so much more around her. It doesn't get any better than this!
I was finally able to get caught up enough to sit down and go through the photo update properly, and it was absolutely worth the wait.
There are some all-timers in there for sure; just some absolutely incredible shots!
Like most folks probably, I have some neighbors around me already rushing headlong into Christmas mode and I'm nowhere ready to let go of Halloween yet...being able to sit and immerse myself in this was a nice respite.
Thanks, RM! We too are dragging our feet…though most of the haunt has been taken down, we’ve left up all of the organic elements…the vines and hanging gourds and PILES of leaves make it look like 1313 Mockingbird Lane out there. Not ready to let it go.
Absolutely stunning photos, Rot! I love the way you have layered the colored lighting...just exceptional. I just noticed the crouching figure with the long hair by the jacko lantern.....LOVE her!!! so creepy the way she is turned towards the wall! So many wonderful wonderful shots this year! You are just a genius...that's all there is to it!
Forgot to mention how much I love her throne! After my adventures in wattle fence and twig garden gate building I can really appreciate the effort it must have taken to construct. It's soooo cool. Hope you aren't going to dismantle it!!!
haha..no worries..I'm going to keep that for a while (I think!)... Thanks SOOOO much. SO glad you dig this year's Haunt and photos...most of those photos were taken by Jenna, so I'm incredibly grateful that she was out there snapping so many neat photos.
I think you need to move that throne into the living room. : D Jenna, those photos are beautiful! Wondering if you are using your phone or a fancy camera.

Cool, more excellent pics! Thank you, Rot!
Btw, those hanging gourds in pic #10 look like the pitchers on my Nepenthes Ventratas.
Thank you, sir!!!
Oh, it just has everything I love.
Organic and darkly mysterious.
The witch seems so alive and real. She seems to be waiting, lurking.
And her throne is a work of art par excellence anyway. What a brilliant piece of creativity.
I love HAXAN beyond measure.
As I keep saying every year.
I would probably just walk around, study and quietly enjoy everything for hours.

Excellent Haunt! The way the prop sits anticipating the children is chilling!! Everything down to the corn stalks and red lighting.... BRAVO!!
