Bonfire

Can't think of a neater thing than spending a cold October night around a bonfire like this.

My absolute favorite thing to do in the Fall. We have a cast iron "fire bowl" (sort of looks like a slightly flattened cauldron, actually) that I break out every year. There's nothing like having a chill on your back while the fire burns in front of you. And the smell...amazing. Throw a couple of sticks of incense in the ground nearby and then you're really talking.

Of course, it's always nice to drink a good pumpkin or Octoberfest beer and toast a few marshmallows, too.

Wow. I just noticed the taper candles in the second photo. What a great way to light a jacko. The light above their faces looks really good. I don't believe I've ever seen that before.
