Coworkers

Christmas Eve at the office and the few of us that didn't take the day off are sitting around waiting to get the heck out. Someone caught up in the Christmas spirit asked me a question and I figured I'd post about it since I get this question a lot during the holidays:

"So do you put Santa hats on all of your monsters this time of year?!!!"

Answer: "No. No I don't."

For some reason I am picturing Peter Gibbons from Office Space and that "Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Monday's" woman. Another great little story that reminds me of the people I am surrounded by also.

A friend of mine gave me a great idea once: Santa being torn apart by zombies. Nearby, a sign reading "EASTER IS CANCELLED, TOO" written in blood with a bunch of bunny parts around it.

I might just do it one day.

maybe you could make a scarecrow holding some reindeer parts and have some laying on the ground all around him for the next christmas door decorating contest

Haven't you ever heard of Krampus? Google him. Krampus is basically Santa's evil helper that kills bad children. Here in the US, Christmas is so diluted that we don't get much of the old traditions here, but it seems there are still Krampus marches that happen with a whole bunch of monsters following around St. Nickolaus.

It's a perfect extension of Halloween into Christmas...

A few years ago, we put a few deer heads mounted on plaques above our garage door. We gave one a glowing red nose and put up a sign that said "Christmass is cancled". We had the cops called on us and asked if we could take them down, saying "some neighbors young children were very upset about it". I didn't want any trouble so they came down...but it was fun having them up for a few days.
