Gibellula sp. of fungus, parasitizing a spider. Fungi of this unusual genus are pathogens of spiders. Windblown spores germinate on the exoskeleton, penetrate the spider, then grow internally, digesting their host. Finally, these spore-bearing synnemata erupt from the cadaver.

Ah you nailed my one true fear - spiders. This beasty got the same treatment Stephen King did in Creepshow - hahahaha!
You just answered the questions I was afraid to ask...."what could be scarier than a spider?"
I was really hoping the answer to that was "nothing" - but now I see I was wrong, very, very wrong.
BTW - do NOT make that for Spiderfest....please, pretty please?
