Was Googling this shite all night just to discover our local news station playing it this morning.

I'm in! Looks sleek and not too sloppy CGI? I dunno. Wish they would've shown more....more. Lol.

I'm in too.
After those awful Prequels, Abrams doesn't even have to try too hard, so my expectations are very low.
Which I guess is a good thing.

I wanted MORE as well...like show us Han or Luke!

I saw some nerds (I have a lot of nerve) complaining about that light saber..saying "if he swings that thing it'll cut off his wrists."

Funny.

Hmmmm, and I saw a Jurassic Park 4 trailer too somewhere. Jurassic World...

Saw that too.
Was surprised the CG in it looked really bad...or rather more like lower budget CGI.
The CG in the first film from the 90's still holds up... shouldn't CG look REAL by now?

I wonder if George Lucas likes the new Star Wars teaser...

I agree with SARS, the CGI didn't look too bad the trailer. But trailers will always make a movie look good.

I'll still see it though. I mean come on, I grew up with Star Wars.

Been waiting all week for this. But I'll be honest, it left me a bit meh. It has Disney marketing ALL over it and that concerns me. I have more issue though in what was not shown versus what was.

JJ can use all the CG he wants as long as the story is good, the characters don't sound like cardboard cutouts with terrible dialog, it visually capture the aesthetics of the OT, and they visually capture the magic of the OT's filming style - ie: no crazy POV cameras like they did with the Falcon barrel roll at the end of this trailer.

To be fair I didn't take issue with all the CG in the prequels directly - they were decent. The problem with the PT is the story took a back to seat to the CG and a lot of the performances were sorely hurt because lets face it, acting to a greenscreen is HARD. So out of all those things I'd like to see in SW7, story, dialog, and good acting are whats most important. Don't let the effects get in the way.

Amen, Terrormaster. If they have better dialogue and acting then the prequels, then there's hope IMO..

agreed.
shitty F/X are totally forgiven with a great story and great acting.

Agreed also about the barrel role.

Gotta say I LOVED the barrel roll. To me it was OT, reminding me of the classic "We're going in" X-Wing POV shot from the Death Star battle. OK just had to add my 2 Star Wars cents.

Lol sheesh Jay, I've been insulted before but never been called Sars!

Also, that light saber comment was funny. My husband and I were like , "ooohhhhh it has a HILT!!!" Lol.

And I really wanted to see Leia! I wanna see skinny Carrie Fisher!!!!!

I was just happy to see the falcon, happy for a moment when the score kicked in, felt like a kid for a moment. I'm sure I'll see it...hoping for a few similar moments that day.

One thing is for sure, this will be the longest year ever.
