The Face/ head look great especially around the zygomatic arch. Was there a skull underneath? or was it a hollow form?

No skull.
I did a crude mache mold of a skull and then peeled it off and formed the head by building layers of mache over the peel.
Pain in the butt, but i told myself i wouldn't use any artificial bones of any kind in these three guys.
The teeth were individual silicone teeth i bought on amazon...

My husband asked the same thing WC, if he used actually skull props underneath. It’s phenomenal how life like they are. Well done Rot!!

I always love the natural gestures you incorporate into the sculpts. They are never stiff or contrived. Beautiful work Rot.

Skulls are the one thing I dont make from scratch yet. They seem really time consuming but the payoff of uniqueness is evident in your Kings. One more reason you are the master. For now, I will settle for buying different skulls from different places and trying to change the faces with the mache itself.

Ditto what Autumnleaf said. Your figures always look like they are in movement, what we see is just a snapshot in time. You have a gift for creating poses and expressions that convey such a life-like quality.
