Click below for the wonders of Pumpkin Growing... I wonder if they have a putrid loathing for squirrels and chipmunks like I do after trying to grow pumpkins on and off for years (and then giving up):
I still get tremendous enjoyment out of the antics of our circus troupe of squirrels and chipmunks, but that may be due to the fact that my pumpkin experiments never got beyond the bug brigade.
Those six-legged and horrific little so-and-so's have immediately invaded (and ended) each effort.
That is a gorgeous Atlantic Giant pumpkin. It's probably going to a contest somewhere. Just looking at the vid brings back memories....and worrisome nights wondering if it will still be whole in the morning! The metabolism on these things is nothing short of insane. Not unusual for it to put on 45 pounds in a 24 hour period during peak growing season.

I really do hate those guys...
That's gorgeous & made me think of Autumnleaf's avatar. Ugh squirrels! They would be drunk with delight chomping on this beauty.
As it rolls and crushes me. Neighbors will see my legs sticking out and think it’s a display!
HAHAHAHA!!!
That's a straight up Looney Tunes cartoon moment right there!
