Im with you, Rob Zombie is a talented guy but I just think that he blew it with Halloween.
This has been said ad nauseum by other people but...
It wasnt scary, it was just brutal, which is ok for some people that are into that stuff, but its not the reason that people liked Carpenter's Halloween. We liked it because it was creepy and had ambiance. Anyway, I did like House of a 1000 corpses and Devils Rejects.
I really enjoyed 1000 Corpses and Rejects too. His trashy characters and violence worked perfectly for those films. HALLOWEEN shouldn't have been a continuation of that stuff.
