Here's an old MTV feature on the editors of Weird NJ. It gives a good idea of what the magazine is all about.

What a coincidence, I just checked out a copy of Weird NY from my library last week! Now I am attempting to travel to as many of these weird places as I reasonably can, with camera in tow, of course!
I have a stack from the days I lived in NJ.
I love the letters from readers telling of their own NJ experiences.
My dad grew up in Princeton, New Jersey and get this: Einstein spoke at his high school graduation and his dad took him out to see the remains of the Hindenburg the day after it crashed. And the Jersey Devil? Never heard of it. Had no clue there was a story behind the hockey teams name.
Very very cool.
I'm from Joisey....are you from Joisey?
: )
I'm a Pennsylvanian who lived in North Jersey for a bunch of years. I love it up there. Mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and tons of trees and hilly roads.
Not the NJ that most people think of.
How about the New Jersey Pine Barrens? Is that in the Weird NJ book? I seem to remember a horror movie or maybe an X-file episode set there...
Absolutely. Home of the Jersey Devil.
I think there must be one letter about the barrens in every issue of Weird NJ.
I remember driving through them when we were young, on the way to the shore.
Sounds like an interesting place to visit, a little summer-time rest and recreation perhaps...
