I LOVES me some pirates! How about you, Rot, what's your whole angle on the whole "Pirates at Halloween" debate?

I've never felt a creative pull in the pirate direction, but I dig seeing it in other haunts.

Once, a long time ago, Rob from skullandbone shot me a concept drawing for a Pirate corpse figure he was contemplating building. It was insane. I wish he would have built it.

Such a great pirate scene. I have about the same view as you Rot of Pirates on Halloween... cool to see, just not interested in doing myself.

Someone posted in Halloween Forum that our home haunt was blogged about on "PUMPKINROT".

I must say, I feel quite honored. I have been a fan of PumpkinRot's work since I started home haunting 2 years ago and now to get a 'nod' from the man himself makes me truly happy.

I am making many updates / changes to the "Pirate" setup to make it even better ... seeing that the "pnuematics" that were supposed to make the skeletons move back and forth sprung a leak 2 hours before people started showing up for 'Trick or Treating' and I couldn't fix it in time.

In case anyone wants to see the video for the "Cemetery" display ... here it is:

Thanks again.

Really diggin' the nods to Haunted Mansion and the original Pirates ride. Good stuff!
