The Unheard

I'm extremely excited to present a collaboration between myself and Jason Innes and James Akers of High Noon Records.  Their musical project Lunar Veil has provided an original score for the official 2015 Pumpkinrot Haunt Video.  The expression 'a dream come true' is a galactic understatement.  I am so SO grateful for their work, and so completely blown away by their talent.

Their track The Unheard is the perfect voice for my Haunt.  It captures both the human cruelty of my fictitious psychopathic Yard Haunter and the lonely despair of his victims.

So please click the image below and enjoy our video.  I've provided links so you can purchase the stand-alone track (I need these guys to be writing music for as long as I'm on the planet).

It's an exceptional piece of music on its own and one that gets better with every listen.

Excellent!

The whole thing looked and sounded like a horror movie intro from the 1980's.

Hey, Rot, that was amazing! Sounds great!
Love the beat. And the last shot of 3 on the hill- beautiful!

And in amazing technicolor : )

Can't tell you how excited I am about this.
Every time I listen to this track it gives me chills.
Lots of layers too...

And their sense of timing is flawless.

Loved this! So glad you got to collaborate with those guys. The beat is bad ass. I agree with Willow Cove about that final shot too. Awesome!

Really, really dig this! Instantly one of my favorites from them. A ton of things happening there that just draw you in and grab you.

If you ever wanted theme music, you've got it.

The music is a perfect compliment. It was such a beautiful haunt. Really happy to see such awesome music paired with it. Still can't decide if I'm digging night or day better.

How in the world will you top 2015?

Wow! You really up-ed your game on the video quality! New camera or a friend? Very cool! Great music selection! I personally struggled with the whole process this year.... you did two videos far better than my one!...kick a man when he's down! LOL! Great job as usual!!

It's funny...we had a digital higher-end camera for the last two years, but hesitated using the video feature.... i got myself familiar with it a month or so before Halloween. So happy I did.

Great news. Having a custom haunt soundtrack is pretty rad.

We would like to officially request that girl6 review any and all of our new material.

And Rot, she just dropped a Tarantino/Morricone reference on us. We may have no choice but to do this again.

Perfect collaboration!!! Of course, I buy all of the Halloween at High Noon releases, so this tune was a MUST. This track is really solid, in the vein of their most recent release, Les Morts Gothique. It will definitely be going into rotation in my playlist

Seeing your haunt, set to this tune? It's downright amazing! Perfect score for the visuals presented. The High Noon boys REALLY need to be tapped by a major studio to score a horror movie. They are the successors to Carpenter & Howarth, in my opinion, and it's a damned shame that they haven't been hired to provide the soundtrack to a spooky flick yet

morricone finally won a golden globe this year & hofefully he will FINALLY win an oscar this year too. just NOT right that a GREAT like himself has been SO denied. leave it to tarrantino tho to have the heart & taste to acknowledge the TRUE greats.<333333

& i'm there!!!! for any & all Halloween t High Noon tunes..you guys sound like angels..earthbound angels : )

Man, that totally rocks. I love the music, it was perfect for this. I already really love how you've gotten that illusion of a corn field going too. At night, it really looks like you're at the edge of one.

wow, Rot, the music is completely mesmerizing when watching the video of your Haunt--what a beautiful melding of two art forms.

Thanks, everyone!
I'm glad the High Noon guys are getting the exposure they deserve.

I still can't get over how perfect the score is for the video. Like one entity. Just perfect.
