And not sure if this sorta folk-pop stuff appeals to you or Bean at ALL... but here's a deliciously dark and creepy record by another Icelandic musician who I love:
A lot of spooky ballads built around rickety piano and organ... music for dark autumn nights (there's even a track titled 'Halloween'). Closest thing I could compare the sound to would be 'Buried In Water' by Dead Man's Bones.
