The Closet
The Haunted Closet, to be exact. Found this really amazing blog that brought back a flood of memories. Here are some wonderful pics I clipped from it.
Pole Ghost
Found this and it reminded me of the prop that triggered the yard haunter in me.
I recently drove around that neighborhood looking for the house where I first saw it (very similar to the one in that photo, but it had a plastic witch mask and foggy dry ice doing its magic). The houses looked different than I remembered and I couldn't figure out which one it was. Part of me expected (and hoped) to see a weathered cracked witch mask on the same tiny lamp post.
That would have been great.

Something In The Corn
Going through old pics tonight. I should have taken all of my Hollowmen out into the fields.
Dark

Haunted House and Clove tealight scents dominated the haunt this year.
Scent really does make a difference. Imagine the sweet dark scent of cloves mingled with the roasted smell of jack o'lantern lids. Pure magic.

I normally feel sorry for pumpkins in depressing settings (rotting on a porch, sitting on a trash can waiting for removal, smashed in a street, etc.), but this guy looks like he's enjoying his perdicament.

Cloak & TrickOrTreat
Didn't really get many photos of Cloak on Halloween night, so here's one of him with TrickOrTreat.
Raisins
I remember trick or treating like it was yesterday. I was thinking about all the horrible things that houses tossed in your bag that had no right to be anywhere near Halloween night. Probably the worst possible items were (in order of horribleness):
1. Raisins.
2. Pencils.
3. Pennies.
I never seemed to see who the culprits were that felt the need to throw horrible crap in my bag. Which probably means they were doing it covertly - reaching their closed fist into the bag to conceal their sick crime. Their hands opening secretly to drop dried hard grapes or dirty-metal-smelling pennies, or ugly school utensils into a pile of heavenly candy. This clearly proves people who give out such things KNOW they're doing something wrong.
They should have left the porch light off.
