Witch Torches

I built a torch prototype for my Skull Witches.  I'll have three of these placed safely near the display.  I'm thinking most of the detail will be lost in the shadows, so I kept the coloring pretty light.

I love it!! Looks fantastic! I need to find something or do something like this. We had pumpkin tiki's which I loved. But proceded to leave them out year round and they didn't weather very well.

The flame was much higher when the wind died down.

This is totally awesome. I was planning to use some tiki torches this year myself. I just haven't built up the courage to actually use any sort of mache or flamable type materials anywhere near it. Not to mention we're using our summer torches so the wife wouldn't be too happy if I went all Pumpkinrot on them ;) Maybe I'll buy some in the spring and do something like this next year.

Thanks.

I started to panic. Couldn't find them anywhere. Then a nice employee at AC Moore suggested a party supply store...and there they were.

I have aluminum foil on the inside of that top portion...and the flames were touching that part more than I was hoping for due to the wind, but there wasn't any burning whatsoever. So that's good.

I'll snap some night shots soon to see how the light gets thrown.

Awesome rot! looks organic and ancient. I am actually making Pumpkinrot witch jars in tiki torches today. I've been building some all summer and have a nice collection for halloween now. I'll take some pics and share them soon.
