Ephemeral Folk Figures: Scarecrows, Harvest Figures, and Snowmen

Bought a used copy of this amazing book.  It's packed with so many wonderful photographs of incredible scarecrows.

It's currently my favorite thing.

I'll be scanning some images in the days ahead, but here are some quick photos to give you a taste of what lies within:

Wow! I am seriously gonna look around for this...
I LOVE the first one. Where do you get a straw witch hat anyway?
And the last pic too...
Any more pictures you post will be greatly appreciated by your fans! Thanks!

Awesome. That one on the front cover reminds me of the beginning of H4

We said the same thing.
There are a few images in the book that seem to be the inspiration for that title sequence in H4...even the skeleton decoration on the old wooden building is in there.

Book was published in 1969.

Love it.

Oh man I need to get that book! Looks so great! I put all my scarecrows up in my new vegetable garden and could use some inspiration for changing them up a bit.I look forward to the scans!

There are some amazing Halloween images as well. And the snowmen photographs are just as beautiful and actually quite creepy.
