Ghouls

I remember wearing that garish skull mask.  Have never seen anything like them in any of the photos I've scoured over the years looking for blog material.  Pretty neat.

I like that we did the sheet thing a couple of times back then.  You also never really see that these days either.  In all of my years handing out candy, I've never seen a rubber or plastic mask on a kid wrapped in a white or black sheet.  Literally never.

I'm officially that old guy saying "Back in MY day we MADE our own costumes, out of rags and scraps!"

Awwwe....And did you have to put cardboard in your shoes to fill the holes and walk 5 miles in the snow to school? Those skull masks remind me of something from a King Kong movie....very unusual. I love the mask on the right! Very very weird looking!

This year passing out candy I saw a kid with full sheet ghost with the eyes cut out. It was great to see!

So many great things with this picture. Over the years I've had a couple of sheet ghost but I can't say I've seen the classic mask and sheet combo. Thanks for posting this. Brings our own memories back.

Definitely glad they were snapping away each Halloween.
Trying to get my hands on some of my early Halloween displays...they are not in these photo albums unfortunately. Just lots of awkwardness and frowns and misery. haha
