Saw this today. Meh.

It HAS to be better than the last two Halloween films right?

Yeah, I’ll watch it, but I’m not excited about it

My biggest gripe would be that it looks to be dumbing it down. With a full exposition of what the puzzle is. And that it has young kids in it as what I'm assuming are the protagonists.

I just read that Clive Barker is part of the new Hellraiser movie, so I'm eager to see if he still has the touch he used to. To me, the franchise became crap when he no longer had any control or involvement in it. I loved his books when I was younger....

Clive Barker has gone woke, a female Pinhead? What a pathetic attempt to make a few bucks. Virtue signaling in the Hellraiser series, I thought he was better than that. Some how, the phrase "we'll tear your soul apart" doesn't seem the same without Doug Bradley. They should have left well enough alone.
I'll pass.

I'm totally on board. Extra bonus is watching the right wingers triggered-fest.

i am SO CURIOUS about this! Dying to see where they go. The Original is SO perfect in all of it's dirty grungy & bloody beauty. Very Organic. It will probably always be my Fave! Very excited for Jamie Clayton's chance to shine as Pinhead. Also happy to see Clive as one of the producers!<333

I just finished watching the new Hellraiser movie, and I was less than impressed. The plot wasn't great, the acting wasn't great, it wasn't even gory enough. The cenobites looked like they were wearing padded suits, not their own skin or wounds.
The pinhead character in this film doesn't hold a candle to Doug Bradley's original performance. There wasn't a single horrifying moment in this version, it's not even scary.
There's nothing scary about a group of female cenobites that kill one of their own kind, and of course he was the only male cenobite.
The buildup for this film just make it even more disappointing after you've watched it.
They should have left it alone.
