From The Basement...

These are extraordinary pictures. What kind of fabric is that around the fingers and on the heads? It looks so wonderfully organic. And I have one more question, but you don't have to answer it. Are the builders partly inspired by 2017's Twig Witches? From some perspectives it looks like it and then it doesn't. But like I said, you don't have to answer it. Don't want to destroy the magic.

Rumor has it they wrap their heads and extremities in old soft muslin. Their form of skin. But building so many scarecrows causes it to loosen and unravel.

Rumor also has it that they are distant cousins of the Twig Witches (their inner cores were repurposed, and I rebuilt the heads and the shoulders. The arms and the hands are all new.

That sounds wonderful. I don't know the fabric at all. But it looks great. Thanks for sharing this with me. Love these behind the scenes photos of you. As you always present them in a perfect ambience with lights and shadows. Just like they deserve .

Any thin fabric like a bed sheet would do. I dip strips of it into elmers glue and water. Then apply to the prop. Then paint with a brush.

If this were my basement I'd have to have a recliner and side table down there for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. So beautiful!
