Milky Way Farm Fall Harvest

We took a trip to Chester Springs, PA to visit Milky Way Farm for their annual Fall Harvest.  130 beautiful acres that felt like entering a Bradbury short story and a Wyeth painting.  The weather was chilly and breezy, and absolutely perfect for meandering the hilly farm with hot cider and pumpkin ice cream for pumpkin picking and a corn maze.  Easily the best pumpkin patch around these parts so this will definitely be an annual tradition for sure.

Close by was a favorite pizza joint so we headed over there for dinner and then watched CANDYMAN (1992) at a special screening at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville.  A perfect end to a really wonderful day.

The photos are inviting!! I also really like the long stems on the pumpkins.

Well this is a slice of heaven. Those pumpkins lined up in the grass with stems taller than than they are really got me.

If ever the word 'idyllic' was appropriate, it seems like it would be in description of that farm.

Every image is absolutely loaded with pastoral charm.

Ya'll so lucky...I, we dont get to see real pumpkin patches here in the Deep south. That would be really neat!

That is a picture perfect pumpkin patch. And topped off with a spooky movie, what fun! But wait, you didn't want to catch a double feature with Hocus Pocus?! ;) I still remember you got me with an April 1st post about that movie one year. I kept reading it saying to myself, no, this can't be right. Really, Rot? Hahahaha!
