Success. The rain held off til everyone was gone. Some heavy winds occasionally came through, pushing over my stalks and blowing out some candles, but everything held up just fine. After I put the scarecrows in the garage, I started pulling the cords to the lights and stopped after the orange bulbs went dark. Loved how just the outer blue bulbs looked with the jackos.
So imagine a light rain falling to these shots...
Not a bad way to end Halloween.
All ready for the evening. As we say in these parts, it was spitting earlier, so I threw some plastic bags over the Sentinels. Hopefully the rain holds off til late.
Again, Happy Halloween, everyone.
Took the rest of the week off to work on last minute touches. Weather forecast is still calling for rain on November 1st, with a slight chance of rain on Halloween night. Hoping that stays away. And hoping that putrid storm moving up through the country doesn't ruin too many Halloweens.
I'll be posting here and there before the big day, and I'll be posting on Halloween morning to wish everyone well (and maybe post some teaser shots).

We were insanely fortunate to see a digitally-restored version of The Shining yesterday...in a theater. A real theater with an amazing sound system. I think there were ten people in attendance, including us.
An amazing memory for sure.

So I decided to track the predicted Halloween weather each day. Since I have nothing better to do except prepare my grudge against Mother Nature. Looks like we currently have some potential rain on the day before and after Halloween. Never a good sign.

Even after all these years doing this, it's very strange to know that Halloween is less than a week away.
