Now Playing: Frank Herbert

By the amazing Klaus Schulze.

The Walking Dead Theme (Unkle Remix)

I must confess that me and The Walking Dead went our separate ways a long time ago.  I think it was the perpetual despair and zero percent hope/happiness/point-to-any-of-the-suffering that made me move on.

But just when I thought I was over it, I heard this incredible version of the main theme.

Halloween II Suite B (Bonus Mix)

I must admit I never heard this track before.   I created a John Carpenter Pandora channel and it's been glorious, with gems like this one.  Stuff from Bladerunner, Tangerine Dream, Carpenter's Lost Themes albums, the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, and all the Carpenter films (as well as tracks from Tron: Legacy? [love it though])...

Frailty

The most striking physical feature are the eyes, I think. They're frightening, they're black, almost liquidy. That's the first thing that I've noticed. And then, the skin's white. They look very frail to me, like you could hurt them if you were able to, but you're not able to.

Witches' Night Before Halloween

Twas the night before Halloween and all through the cottages
The witches were stirring their brews and their potages
Their cupboards were bursting with hoptoads and newts,
And they'd shined up their pointy-toed, fancy dress boots.

The witchlings were snoring all snug in their beds
With visions of moist, creeping things in their heads.
"Nice night," whispered Mad Maud to Potbelly Pat,
As she snuffed out the torches and took in the cat....

The Spook House

It was known as the "Spook House." That it was tenanted by evil spirits, visible, audible and active, no one in all that region doubted any more than he doubted what he was told of Sundays by the traveling preacher. Its owner's opinion of the matter was unknown; he and his family had disappeared one night and no trace of them had ever been found.

The Killing Season

If you dug Cropsey and Killer Legends, you're going to really appreciate A&E's The Killing Season.  Very chilling documentary-style series about the Long Island serial killer(s).  Click below for a great Fangoria interview with filmmakers Joshua Zeman and Rachel Mills.
