Hazardous

New Jersey is home to the most hazardous waste sites in the United States, with 114 as of October 2021. This was followed by California and Pennsylvania, which had 97 and 90 sites, respectively.

In 1980, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) or "Superfund" was passed. This allowed the Environmental Protection Agency to clean up the most contaminated sites in the United States. As of 2021, there were more than 1,300 Superfund sites on the National Priorities List (NPL). Superfund sites are hazardous waste sites, such as landfills and mines, where toxic waste has been dumped. This toxic waste can leak into groundwater, streams, and soil, causing pollution that can harm humans and the environment.

Putrid stagnation, and bilious, acrid gases. You can almost smell it!

Thanks, Sar!

That stank-filled swamp is now officially contaminated with multi-colored residue from about thirty smoke bombs. Not sure what was in that water, but I swear I'm still smelling it.

Gret pics! Super creepy. Is that a real pipe sticking out? Be careful, don't get impaled! =)

Rot said...

Yup. That pipe was there.
Totally was irritated by it at first, but then figured it played into the toxic dumping that has been apparently occurring for the last few decades, dumping with corpse-reanimating properties.
