To me, it’s Tim Burton’s finest film. Love the score. And the headless effect is still the Finest headless effect that I have ever seen and probably will ever see.

TOTALLY Agreed !! Without a doubt! I've tried for over 10 years to find the filming location on Google Earth but no luck. Burton says it was filmed at Lime tree Valley on the Hambleden estate. It was filmed around a small duck pond. The entire town was constructed in 2 mnths. It was dismantled after filming. Supposedly only the church still remains.

I found the Hambleden estate pretty easy but nothing matched the film.

For the life of me, I cant find it...

I'm actually going to re-buy this soundtrack for the 3rd time! Lol

Love it!! I don’t even remember now how many times I’ve seen it. I used to watch it all the time, but now I also usually save it for October.

Still one of my favorite ever films.

I wonder when Hollywood will remake it.
I bet the new headless effect will look like crappola.

Something about this post made me ask myself what the world would be like if Danny Elfman and Tim Burton had never connected.

**Shudder**

It felt like staring into the void, and I will never think on it again.

True. I think of both of them with the same neurons.
They're the same entity to me.

My 2nd favorite Tim Burton film, and my favorite Johnny Depp movie.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! They CANNOT remake it! I was totally obsessed with that tree that the horseman would leap out of. If only I could have one of those in the front yard haha!

that is so funny about the tree as it's totally a character in that film...and instantly recognizable now if you see it online somewhere...

I bought the soundtrack ages ago, and it remains a favorite of mine. Danny Elfman truly completes the Unholy Trifecta of Burton, Depp and Elfman... SInister and suspenseful. Love all of it!
