My Tin Man scarecrow is ready to be painted and I anticipate him being finished in a week or so. It's been neat building a scarecrow that I won't be using for my haunt. It allowed me to explore some features that I wouldn't have normally pursued had I intended to use him on Halloween night. That said, he's pretty creepy and clearly a rotten work that'll offend some people.
I'll post some teaser pics when he's done.

When you're done???! Ahhh, a teaser of a teaser, I can't stand it. Can't wait to see him. I'm sure he will scare the crap out of me and maybe even cause a few nightmares. :)
I don't know if there's any correlation (and at the risk of "jinxing" your effort), but it sounds like this change in strategy could possibly garner you that highly-sought-after, yet ever elusive, First Place Ribbon (which, in my opinion, should have been yours every year you've entered).
It seems that, while maintaining your usual distinctive style and panache, this could/would be more up "their" alley. I look forward to seeing the finished work and the end result.
Best of luck!
You are a sadist, aren't you?
cant wait to see this! an evil tin man.... thats great!
Can't wait 2 C it!
I think House may be on the right track! I too feel you should win every year at the peddlers village comp. I may try to take a trip this year and see all these scarecrows in there glory. Plus see one of your props up close!
Sounds good man, cant wait!
Most excellent. This is sounding quite exciting! :)
