The scent of fresh peeled apple and the crispness of fallen leaves--it's
definitely fall. We've added in a dash of lemon zest and a hint of
pumpkin to capture an afternoon on a gorgeous autumn walk.

Now Playing: The Winter Soldier
Watching this film again. Still my fave of the superhero films. Looking extremely forward to Captain America: Civil War, directed by the same guys who directed this film, and scored by the same composer - Henry Jackman.

Ghost Attack
If ghosts/poltergeists are real, shouldn't this stuff below be happening ALL the time?
Unless every time this stuff happens the person gets killed and we just assume it was a robbery gone bad.

The Corn Reaper
Going through old photos from the Mr. Jones build.
Here he is in the yard...
And here he is in the film.
I really dig how menacing he looks in the shadows. You can't tell where he begins or ends.

Nothing But Star Wars
With this new batch of Star Wars movies better come a re-release of the original Star Wars that I saw in the theaters. I was watching this video below of the changes that were made over the years and I realized I barely remember the pure original unaltered Star Wars (beings George Lucas blocked digital versions of the original three to ever be distributed).
The Scarecrow That Wasn't
Back when I was working with director Karl Mueller to build the scarecrows of Mr. Jones, he talked about found-objects being incorporated into some of the designs. Like the Jones guy builds his totems with stuff he finds along the road, dumped in the woods, or thrown out in the trash. The request came in to build one with a doll's head.
As a guy who doesn't really do that sort of thing, I came up with the below design, and off it went to California for the shoot. I dug the concept and love how it came out, but was very relieved in NY watching the premiere when it never showed up in the movie. Only after rewatching the film on dvd did I notice that her dress and head were removed and she became the scarecrow that Penny and Scott knock over during their first encounter with Mr. Jones.
I felt really bad when I bought the doll off of ebay and the kind lady selling her wrote me the nicest note "I just know she's going to be so happy in her new home!" Awful.
I'm a [doll] child murderer.
I'd like to leave this on someone's property and just drive away.
