Madhouse (1974)

Back when I watched House on Haunted Hill for the first time, I made it a Vincent Price double feature and followed it up with Madhouse.   This was yet another Vincent Price film I had never seen, and I was super excited that both he and Peter Cushing were in this one.

I swear Price got better with age.  His character was so intriguing - an aging actor known for a particular horror character Dr. Death.  He's bitter about how the industry has changed, and haunted by the murder of his fiancé (and unsure if he was the one who did it).

Thanks, Wren!  Next up is The Monster Club, as promised.

This still looks like there at a neighborhood party!

Yeah! They actually kind of are in that scene in the film.

The mask worn by 'the killer' in this is a classic. Rivaled only by the voodoo priest's mask in Hammer's Plague of the Zombies..
IMO the best VP flicks are The Tingler and Theater of Blood if you're still going through them...
