Hopkins deserved an Oscar for that performance. And literally one every year after that, just because of this performance.
I. Adore. This. Man!
I somehow have not seen this film, but after watching just a couple minutes to not spoil it, I know that I need to ASAP. He has been one of my “Dream Meets” for a long time, but I very much doubt I’ll ever get that opportunity, with his age. I follow him on Instagram, and he is always a delight. Playing piano, dancing, and showing off his cat.
I think that even with as famous as he is, that he is STILL underrated.
I saw MAGIC when I was in grade school and never again after that... So watching that scene made me drool and I will definitely be watching the entire film soon.
I felt Burgess' horror and pity, and Hopkins' sad torment.
I’m shocked that I haven’t come across it before. Definitely looking forward to seeing it.
I forgot to mention that Burgess Meredith, is an awesome bonus. Love anything he does. His episode of, Twilight Zone is one of the best.
Just rented it from Amazon...
and i agree about that Twilight Zone sode.
