Trailer: The Empty Man

I heard nothing but bad things about The Empty Man, but I always loved the Beksiński-like creature featured in the film's trailer.  I was looking for images of it online tonight and ended up watching Chris Stuckmann's review of the film, and now I'm VERY curious about the movie, as he is quite the fan of it.  Just added this one to my watch list.

I love that creature design so much.

Chasing it one evening not that long ago, I came across this page that had what I thought was a neat breakdown of the evolution of the design by Ken Barthelmey.

That's crazy he didn't get a screen credit!

It's 100% crazy just on general principle.

It's even more crazy when I consider the fact that I'd have had no idea the film even existed without that creature design and associated images. :(

Thanks RM for the link! Ken’s artwork of the creature is amazing.

And I am totally amazed when artists like him can just "whip' up designs like this in Z-Brush ( or any other software design).
So talented!

Ah, my pleasure WC...happy to spread the word on a special talent, and especially on one that didn't get the credit that he should have initially!

Watched it last night. Very Different and unique. I recommend it. The skeleton creature is thru the whole film. Maybe the director will do a re-edit of the credits for the designer.

That is too funny as I watched half last night and half this morning (had to buy it on amazon, so don't tell me you found it somewhere for free! haha)

I LOVED it. Was not at all what I was expecting, and I keep thinking about it.

I was going to do another post about it.
