Watched this last night and had so much fun. It restored my faith in the Found Footage genre (meanwhile it was released in 2015[it takes me a while]). The subject matter was very interesting, and the film was definitely and genuinely scary. And the most intriguing thing was that typically I will watch a found footage film and be thinking "Why couldn't this movie just be a regular movie?" but this thing NEEDED to be found footage. And it worked perfectly.
Thanks, Wren, for the recommendation. I probably never would have gotten around to watching this one.

How'd I never hear of this? I want to watch this.
Shudder!
I was loving life watching this.
And it's fun watching a bunch of fake people create a haunted attraction from an abandoned hotel. And TRULY scary moments where I was shocked I jumped.
I've literally never even heard the title (and it appears as though it has sequels?), but now I'm off to figure out how / where to watch.
So great, enjoy all!!
This is a three part series, the second and third are not as good a the first but still worth watching. I found some interesting scenes for inspiration in my own maze haunt that I build in my basement.
i actually thought the second one was the best. all are good though...
Definitely one of the best examples of the "Found Footage" subgenre, without a doubt.
Totally agree with you that the second was the best. it was actually the first one that i watched. Then the first then the last. The second IMO was the best.
