Groovy.
In some places, Friday's highs will be up to 30 degrees cooler than Wednesday's highs. Instead of temperatures in the 90s, expect daytime highs to only reach the 60s, or even the mid-upper 50s in the Great Lakes, Appalachians, Upstate New York and northern New England.
Brisk northwest winds gusting around 30 mph will only add to the chill Friday.

I can't bring myself to drink a pumpkin latte until the temps are steadily in the 60s.
Come on Fall....
It got to be in the low 90's yesterday, here in southern maine. Just a fluke! Fall has already made it's appearance here. I must say though, it was super strange to drive past rows of trees that have begun to turn(a wonderful shade of red, might I add)all while sweating my ass off. Hah! Summer's last hoorah! I hope it got it's yah- yahs out.
It's supposed to be 90 this weekend in Boise. I don't think Rot or Bean would like it here in the LONG summer.
Big rain just rolled through my neck of the woods in Ohio. Already cooling off the recent heat wave. Cannot wait for tomorrow's weather.
One of my favorite sets of lyrics ever. May have posted this before. But this to me sums up the summers last Hooah statement :
Breathe in the life of the summers death
As the orange and red breathe their first breath
So welcome as they're burning through
We all begin to burn
Autumn's flame dances in my eyes
Set alight for all we've learned
My ashes falling
AFI - Malleus Maleficarum
Ironically, the rains have saved my sanity here but over in Manitou Springs, people are being swept away by flood waters.
Oh no, Colleen! They can't change that fast...I'll be there in three weeks to hopefully see peak season.
Still in the eighties here in sunny California. I'm using the heat to dry my creations a little faster!
Love the lyrics!
Thanks ShellHawk its a great song. If ya don't like punk the lyrics are still brilliant
I agree with Bean..100%!
Although in the back of my mind I sometimes think, what if this is the only 60 degree day before Halloween??
Autumnleaf, Don't worry. Most of the trees around here are still green! However, on my commute to work there is a spectacular line of trees along a river that have turned BRIGHT red.
So happy that the temps are getting a bit cooler. We're getting a new puppy today....it'll make things a lot easier with it not being so hot and HUMID! Ick!!
Bean...I hear ya...just doesn't feel the same. Although...I've busted out the Pumpkin spice coffee a few times....love that stuff!!
Shani, congrats on the new puppy..what kind? and it really has cooled off here in SoCal at least in the evening to where you can leave windows open. Coleen, I so cannot WAIT to be in New England again!! Yippee!!
